Nicole Michelle Johnson was stopped late at night by Baltimore police on July 28, 2021. Police stopped her speeding car. Her car had counterfeit tags, and she had no license or insurance. She was told she would have to appear in court in a few days, and she was told her car was going to be towed.

Johnson opened the trunk of her car to gather a plastic bag and tote box to take with her. Suspicious, the officer asked her to open the bag. It revealed a suitcase. The officer could smell decomposition and insisted the suitcase be opened.

Inside the trunk were the decomposing bodies of 2 children. Authorities later determined one body was that of her niece Joshlyn Marie James Johnson (aged 7, weighing about 18lbs/8kg when she died). She died about May 2020. Johnson admitted Joshlyn had been beaten and said she fell and hit her head.

The second body, in the tote, was her nephew Larry Darnell O’Neal (aged 5, weighing about 21lbs/9.5kg). She said he died a few months before her car was stopped.

The weight of an average 7-year-old girl in America is 50lb 8 oz (22.9 kg). The weight of an average 5-year-old boy in America is 40lb 13 oz (18.5 kg).

Joshlyn and Larry were her sister’s children. She had temporary custody, and their unknowing mother had been trying to get them back. Arrangements were made earlier this year for the transfer, but Johnson did not show.

Baltimore County Police have charged Johnson, 33, with failure to report the deaths of the children, child abuse resulting in death, and neglect. Those charges may change based on further investigation.

Johnson is presumed innocent until found guilty in a fair court of law.

Photo of convicted murderer Ed Buck

Ed Buck had been convicted in the deaths of 2 African American men. He drugged both men with methamphetamine.

Gemmel Moore, 26, died in Buck’s West Hollywood (California) apartment on  July 27, 2017. Timothy Michael Dean, 55, died in the apartment on  January 7, 2019.

Screengrab from ABC News of serial killer Rodney James Alcala

Convicted serial killer Rodney James Alcala, known as the “Dating Game Killer, ” died early July 24, 2021 at a hospital near Corcoran State Prison in central California, prison officials said.

Alcala, who was 77, had been on the state’s death row since 2010. He was sentenced to death in 2010 for the 1979 murder of 12-year-old Robin Samsoe and the murders of 18-year-old Jill Barcomb and 27-year-old Georgia Wixted, both in 1977; 32-year-old Charlotte Lamb in 1978; and 21-year-old Jill Parenteau in 1979.

Alcala also pleaded guilty to the murders of 2 New York women, in New York, Cornelia Crilley in 1971 and Ellen Jane Hover in 1977. He was sentenced to 25 years to life in 2013.

After Alcala’s conviction, authorities released more than 100 photos of unidentified women and children found in a storage unit that belonged to the killer. Most women remained unidentified, but some came forward to say they were alive.

In 2016, he was charged by Wyoming prosecutors with the murder of 28-year-old Christine Ruth Thornton, who disappeared in 1978. However, they declined to extradite him because of his declining health.

Alcala’s execution in California was postponed indefinitely in 2019 due to a moratorium on the state’s death penalty.

In May, 2021, Anna Kendrick was slated to star in the Netflix movie ‘Rodney & Sheryl’. The drama is based on Alcala appearing on the popular TV show ‘The Dating Game’ in 1978.

Alcala had brazenly took part in the show despite being in the middle of a murderous spree. Anna will portray Cheryl Bradshaw, the contestant who got a date with Alcala.

I am updating the website to make it more visually interesting, and to improve organization. Serial killers are now getting their own pages (rather than blog posts), and will be grouped alphabetically by name.

Choose from the letters below to browse killer by that name.

Please note, this is a long process. Each page takes 3-4 days to create. This is neither a job nor a commercial venture. These things take time.  If the hyperlink is not yet active, there are no pages written yet about serial killers whose names are under that letter.

Image of alleged serial killer Tracy Walker

On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, authorities announced the arrest of Tracy Walker in connection with the deaths of three people found stabbed near homeless encampments in Rancho Dominguez, Los Angeles.

Walker, 56, was booked into jail February 11 on suspicion of killing 26-year-old Patricia Loeza, 26-year-old Kenneth Jones, and 30-year-old Cesar Mazariegos. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Walker has been charged with three counts of murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, alleging he used a knife in all three incidents.

Officials said Loeza was found dead with multiple stab wounds to the upper torso down a dirt embankment, east of the Compton creek bed, just after midnight on June 7, 2020. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nearly eight months later, on Jan. 15 2021, Kenneth Jones was found not far from that location. The man also had stab wounds in his upper torso, and he had suffered blunt force trauma to the head, the Sheriff’s Department said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Then, on Feb. 9, 2021, deputies patrolling the same area due to the recent homicides, came upon Cesar Mazariegos. The Sheriff’s Department previously said officers found a body rolled up inside a large carpet, beaten and stabbed. He was declared dead at the scene.

It appeared that all three victims had been staying at homeless encampments at or near the Compton Creek bed, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Detectives linked Walker to the killings and found him at an encampment near the Compton Creek last week, according to officials. It wasn’t clear how the Sheriff’s Department connected Walker to the killings, but while being interviewed by homicide detectives, officials said he implicated himself in all three cases.

He remains in jail on $2 million bail.

Prosecutors are seeking a life sentence for Walker, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

On December 27, 1991, police shot and wounded a man named Tracy Walker after he had shot a man to death. Witnesses said a man shot another man (at 2:40am) while driving a small yellow school bus, then filed the scene. About 11 minutes later, two officers stopped the bus and ordered him out of the bus. Police say he pulled a gun on the cops and was shot numerous times.

He was 27 at the time, which would be about right for this Tracy Walker, and this Tracy Walker is a felon.
